I was supposed to have been there that day. I had a teaching assignment in a building in the WTC complex that got cancelled just the week before it all came down. I sat that day, 5 years ago, in total shock. I had been spared, for what ever reason, having to go through all that...at least in person. In looking back, it makes me so sad and yet so very grateful for my life at the same time.
